Pumpkin Spice Latte

October 1, 2012

Haha check out this picture! Obsessed with Erhmahgerd girl.

So I’m not quite sure if you know, but it’s October. I mean I don’t think there were enough Facebook or Twitter posts about how it’s October. Maybe the calendar isn’t being clear enough when it says it is indeed October. So now you know, it’s October.

Normally I don’t really like October. I have no idea why I just don’t. Sure Halloween is fun and all, but other than that nothing about this month attracts me.

I love autumn in general though. I love the cool weather and being able to step foot outside without melting into a nasty pile of goo on the concrete. And I finally get to wear clothes that don’t show every single inch of my body because it’s too hot to wear anything else.

But the one thing, the one thing that gets me every single time: The Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. I am getting all excited just thinking about it.

A grande Pumpkin Spice Latte with soy and no whip cream please! There is no turning back. There is nothing like the gentle glide of that hot liquid down your throat. Or the soothing flavor the pumpkin brings to your senses. It warms you, it relaxes you, it gives you hope. I swear they should be illegal because those substances are too perfect to be legal. But alas they are and alas, most of my paycheck goes to their company… because I keep getting sucked into the delicious aroma of the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

It means fall, it means warmth, it means friends and happy times and destressors. It means hope for me. One delicious Starbucks drink can bring all that? You may ask. Why yes, yes it can. I would suggest you go and try it for yourself, but be forewarned, it’s qualities are addictive.

So here I am laying in bed craving a Pumpkin Spice Latte… guess I know what I’ll be doing in the morning.
