It. Is. Christmas. Eve.

December 24, 2012

It is Christmas Eve good sirs and good madams. To be quite honest it didn't exactly sink in to me that it was Christmas Eve, until I woke up from a 5 hour nap to smell the largest feast in Christmas history on our kitchen counter.

Normally 3 pounds of potatoes and a ham larger than my head would get my mouth watering, but because I am cursed with the infinite king of the nasty flu I sat and ate a couple bites. But I must say the couple bites I did eat were delicious and mouth watering! A true Christmas feast indeed.

My family then allowed me to pop in my favorite Christmas movie of all time 'Elf' and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Because my family is a bit weird we open our presents on Christmas Eve... I don't really know how that started. I forgot most of everything that I asked for considering i've been in lala land the past week and so opening my presents was even more exciting!

Even though I was/am cursed with the infinite king of the nasty flu it still turned out to be a wonderful Christmas Eve once I realized what day it was. I don't get to spend as much time with the family now that I don't live at home, so the time I get to spend with them becomes more and more precious as the years go on.

I hope your Christmas is filled with these memories too. Even though some families can be odder than odd, it is your family and you shouldn't take that for granted.

Merry Christmas everyone <3 I hope it is special.
