Super Sunday: healthy snackies

One of my SummerResolutions of this year was to get fit. "Getting Fit" is quite the broad term, but I do believe I have been making large strides in making myself the healthiest I can be (though I still do enjoy trips to Chick-Fil-A once in a while). I have started a decently regular work out schedule, and have also started eating much healthier.

Fries, chips and all things fatty and carby are quite addicting, but I have found some healthy snackies that are much better for the body that still taste delectable. So make your grocery list and put these things on it!

1. Water (This is rather basic). Water is the best beverage to accompany any snack. It's fresh and great for your system. Not to mention, you can have as much of it as you want! You can never drink too much water! So if you eat out of boredom like I do, grab a glass of water instead and sip on that.

2. Sweet Potato and Beat chips. Now I know what most of you are thinking "Ewww sweet potatoes and beats are gross." Not true. Even if you don't like sweet potatoes or beats normally, these chips are delicious! They just taste like really healthy potato chips. I suggest giving them a shot because you get the crunch, the salt and your daily dose of veggies all in one!

3. Chocolate covered pomegranate seeds. I realize that chocolate covered anything is a little sketchy in the health department, but if you pop in just a few when you need a brain food whilst at work or doing homework, it is perfectly fine! You get your berry along with a little chocolate decadence for fun. (Little hint: these taste delicious after freezing them)

4. Yogurt. I love me some yogurt. This kind you may notice is "lactose free" because I am allergic to large quantities of dairy. But I know that Yoplait has many delicious flavors that taste like a 5 star dessert, but really it's a yogurt. How sneaky cheeky of them.

I have tossed these little snackies into my diet and I feel so much better about what I'm putting through my system and I no longer feel guilty about eating a chip.

Yay for fulfilling summer resolutions!

That's all for now!
