The Blogger Fam

When I first started blogging I had no idea that a few years down the road I would be clicking that "new post" button each and every day. Or that every time I clicked that "publish" button I would feel a sense of peace and joy. Or that I could spend hours scrolling through blogs from people around the world talking about some of the most personal things they don't even share with their best cat friend. Or that I would scroll through the comments to see people expressing their opinions and stories and encouragement (or sometimes insults).

I definitely didn't know what I was getting into. I simply wanted a place to complain about my terrible teenager life and occasionally write short stories.

But over the years, it has become a way of life. It is now more than a means by which to vent. It has become a space in which I am me for the world to see. And it wasn't until the past year that I realized there are so many other people exactly like me on this planet who fell into the same beautiful trap.

And regardless if I am best friends with these other people or total strangers, bloggers are bloggers, and  bloggers are one big family. A family that understands another person's obsession and way of life even without ever laying eyes on them. The blogging community is full of people with dreams, aspirations, goals and a few words to say along the way. And while most other people don't quite understand why I glue myself to my computer or a notebook every night, these people do. Because once you catch the blogging bug, it's hard to ever get well again. But I am okay with that.

I don't often mention the rest of the blogging community, but I think they are worth mentioning a thousand times over, because no matter how lonely I may sometimes feel in this world, there are a thousand people a few clicks away ready to understand exactly how I feel. And that makes all the difference.

Thank you beautiful blogger family.
