My little corner of the Internet

I've done an awful lot of reminiscing lately: old pictures, old friends, old memories; the works. In the spirit of looking back I scrolled through my blog till I hit its very beginning. It was only last year that I started this big long blogging adventure, but it is interesting to see how much I've changed since even then.

It all started with an on the spot New Year's resolution to do something with those old tattered notebooks filled with crunchy pages of text. A year and a half later here I am in love with a little corner of the Internet where I type away about anything and everything that goes through my head.

People judge. People talk. People think it's weird. People think nothing will come of it. People think it's annoying. People make fun of me. People think I'm silly. People think I have no future.

But the the beautiful thing about being in love, is that no one else's opinion matters but your own. And I couldn't be more happy. How many 20-year-olds have the ability to sit down in the evening and take a selfish minute to do exactly what they please?

It has been an adventure that's for sure. It's taught me so much about who my real friends are, who I really call my family, where my strengths truly lie, and who I am deep down. It has given me the confidence to pursue my dreams and work hard toward what I want, without being ashamed or self conscious.

And this little corner has grown and ideas have been built here. And this little corner has made friends with other little corners on the Internet babbling on about what they love too! And it has truly been a blessing to have this little corner. And all you other little corners are there are just as much of a blessing as well. I don't think I could have gone on forever without encouragement from like-minded people.

So here's to the future and even more emotional blog posts and enduring thoughts and sparks of creativity and little corners that allow us to be us.
