Summer night breeze

Is it too cliche to talk about the weather?

I know it seems so trivial. Weather is the topic so stereotypically known as the factor that indicates a failed attempt at conversation. But who can say that the weather isn't significant?

Nights like these come once in a blue moon. July in Texas? Get out of here. 102 all night and pushing 110 during the day. But on a rare beautiful glimpse of grace from Mother Nature we feel the cool evening breeze and clean air of 67 degrees. Nothing could feel more like paradise to a Texan.

It takes me back to high school when I would spend hours and hours with my closest friends laying on various jungle gym equipment at 2 in the morning. We would lay there heads tilted up and eyes searching the stars for answers. We would spend hours simply contemplating what it was the future held for us.

It reminds that even though the sun pounds down, and conditions become harsh, there will always be a time for peace and ease. And even in the middle of a battle the serene tranquility of a light summer night breeze isn't too far off.
