House keeping other blog-like things

If you are any bit as anal as I am, you like to:

1) have lists (haha see what I did there)
2) stay organized
3) plan things out to a strict schedule
4) stay mighty busy
5) drink too much coffee

So keeping with the theme, this is an organization/reflective post to get me in the spirit of getting reorganized for the coming mad house that is school, work, organizations, clients, blogging and a social life. Here's to hoping I stay sane this semester. In order to do that, I will unfortunately not be blogging every day (cue chorus awwww). But that does mean when I do post they are going to be more organized, more planned out and hopefully much nicer to read instead of my "oh no it's 2 in the morning and I haven't even thought about a blog post" posts. Those can be sometimes annoying.

A good friend of mine Jessica over at Dwell in Possibility is going to be my blogging accountability partner of sorts. We are going to constantly encourage each other, help one another out with post ideas and act as a pseudo copy editor when needed. We think this will be a great way for each of us to really succeed and reach our full potential as bloggers. We spent most of our afternoon today in our university's library whilst the rain passed over, running through ideas and bouncing up and down when we found ones we liked. It was so helpful and really helped me get a grasp on things. We also came up with some abstract goals to keep us going!

My goals for this next year are to

1) Have fun
2) Brand myself
3) Do things that scare me
4) Write
5) Drink coffee
6) Stay inspired
7) Write
8) Drink more coffee

And that is all for the moment. Here ends my everyday summer blogging, but here starts a bright future full of perfectly crafted sentences, high quality photos and no spelling errors (one can always dream). Here starts fun and success.

That is my tentative future plan, how is everyone else staying organized throughout the school year?

  1. hahaha you have this inspiring list and then "drink more coffee" So silly ((: Going back to Uni and blogging shall be difficult this upcoming term but we must survive! Good luck xx

    1. Yes we must all stick together and keep our blogs alive during this stressful time haha :) And I honestly couldn't do it without my best chum, coffee ;) hah

  2. Had to laugh at drink more coffee. Good list though. I try to keep lists to stay on task and they are so incredibly helpful. I get so much done. For the kind of stuff I do, I have found using the pomodoro technique to also be incredibly helpful. I honestly get SO much done during this (pomodoro) time. Anywho, I hope you'll have a chance and stop by my blog. All about Beauty. Life. and DIY. If you ever have an OTD, LOTD, hair or nail tutorial, or a fun fashion DIY, I'd love for you to share it at "That's my Style" Link party every Friday. Don't have anything to share? Stop by anyway for beauty tutorial and fun DIY projects. Hope to see you there. :)
